Management Structure
The Members/Directors of Distinctive Choice Security
have developed a flexible, non-bureaucratic hierarchical structure as to possess the structure and systems of a
large organisation but also have an adaptable and hands
on approach to that of a small organisation. The chain of command encompasses an open door policy for all employees but we also acknowledge the responsibility
and accountability of leadership positions. Thus a hybrid structure of management has been incorporated to get
the best of both worlds as to achieve our top notch
service delivery.
STRUCTURE OF RANK
All our teams are structured with clear authority
and reporting lines. All seniors on site are clearly identifiable and have been trained with adequate leadership skills to address complicated or serious matters which may arise.

On-Site Management
& Supervision
Our company is committed to providing a comprehensive quality security service to suit the individual security requirements. Our management team visits all sites weekly to discuss on-going training and re-evaluate your needs. Regular monthly meetings will be held,
if need be, where any new developments and all security related functions will be discussed.
Should an incident occur? The service provider should hand to the client, a detailed written report with immediate effect. Our manager will visit the client on a weekly basis to discuss the client’s needs.
A client book will be available for the client to comment on service delivery or any issues which have occurred. This book is personally inspected weekly by every senior manager and the directors. Any required action will be detailed therein.
Our inspectors are not office bound. They are required to be inspecting sites on the road on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis.
They are constantly in contact with our control room via radio
or cell phones.
Our management team is committed to providing you with service excellence no matter how big or small the service we provide you with may be. We only achieve that by being there, at your site, interacting with you and your personnel on a regular basis.

Selection, Induction and Training
Our minimum scholastic qualification is grade (10) ten and we require
all employees to be bilingual and speak at least two out of the eleven official languages of South Africa. English is the one mandatory communication medium as most working environments require the English language. All employees are citizens of the Republic of South Africa as the company
shares the burden of uplifting South Africans by providing jobs thereof.
Our security personnel are trained according to Security Sector Education Training Authority (“SSETA”) standards in order to develop their skills. The company has its own training school that is (“SSETA”) accredited to train security officers. All employees are screened carefully for any criminal offences and all employees are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulation Authority (“PSIRA”). To ensure a high standard of performance, management does continuous on-the-job training. All personnel have completed a minimum three week training course, registered and accredited with (P.S.I.R.A.). All new employees must advance through our induction process before being declared ready for duty.

It is of importance to note that criminals are becoming more sophisticated and have developed their own measures of technology to aid them in their illegal activities. Thus at Distinctive Choice Security we are devoted to the adaption and implementation of the latest security and technology equipment as to provide our staff with the best resources to safeguard you, the client and your assets.
Security personnel require continuous training to be able to use new security equipment and also keep up with the latest trends in the industry. Distinctive choice security employs training managers as a specialised function to focus on updating security officer’s knowledge of the industry, continuation of successful trends and familiarising staff with the latest trends in the industry.
The company has since been growing at a healthy rate and will continue to grow as long as we are committed to our clients.
